This process involves `letting down` or lowering the back half of the border. We commonly use this for pathways or walkways where foot traffic or mowers will be crossing over the curb. It is also used for allowing drainage by downspouts or low lying areas. We can do this in both profiles as illustrated below.

Tee Intersections and Rectangle Borders

We commonly use rectangle borders for separating two mediums (dirt and rock or mulch and rock). We can also "T" the rectangle border into the back of Mowers Edge or Stamped Border as illustrated below.
